I have to be honest, I have never been a fan. I WANT to like audiobooks, because then I could listen to them during housework, while working out, and on the road. I have tried. I truly have. But I always end up zoning out and missing something.
I even had to give up on doing chores while listening to podcasts, unless it is a short cast on something that I am super interested in.
My mind just wanders. I always supposed it was because I am a visual and tactile learner. Even in school, unless I was taking notes, I would zone out during lecture.
But I recently discovered something that has made listening to some audiobooks quite enjoyable.
As I begin to record my own audiobooks, I am having a field day with sound effects! I find that audiobooks with sound effects peppered throughout help keep my attention!
It makes editing the audio much more time-consuming, but I think it will be worth it.
I just finished basic editing of the second chapter of The Hunters and I am straight up giddy!
