Poetry Corner: Storm

May 20, 2016

I sit and watch.

I watch the grey clouds crowd the sky.

The wind blows a fierce sigh,

So loud as it whips around the buildings.

If you listen

You can hear the thunder roar in the distance.

Raindrops fall upon the grass.

The earth is bathed afresh.

I'm not allowed to leave this step.

But soon the storm will pass.

Then I can go out

and play.

Hope you enjoyed!

Until next time,
