Poetry Corner: Uniforms

August 19, 2016

DDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD

This song is getting boring,

as much to you as me.

It's made up of only one note,

in only one key.

I object to uniforms.

Life is monotonous enough as is.

If everyone wore the same clothes

the same way?

How tedious

Gee whiz.

Teens have enough rules placed upon them

How can they express themselves,

if they can't even dress themselves

Come on.

Wearing the exact thing as Dawn

Is as logical as everyone dyeing their hair blond.

If we all get blue contacts,

then we can say

"let's all look the same, every day."

Your destroying their individual worth.

What are they, if they can't express who they are?

If we force them to all dress the same,

then we will know who to blame

When mankind ends

and robot-kind takes over.

Until next time,
